My philosophy with how I approach art is always: little to no expectation. I know it might sound weird but for me, it has changed my life and my art.
What do I mean by no expectation? So when it comes to creativity, unless you are a hyper realistic amazingly talented artist, having no expectations allows for total creative freedom.
When you approach your artwork with this kind of energy; there is little resistance happening. Perfectionism can’t exist. Have the intention to be playful, curious, nonjudgmental and open to possibilities. Even reminding yourself of this by saying these as affirmations outlaid can help so much.
AFFIRMATIONS:
“I have no expectations because I know the divine flow of creativity flow through me easily and effortlessly.”
“I love being open to creative possibilities in everything I do”
“I am naturally creative”
“Whatever comes out on this canvas, is perfect either way because every time I practice, I see more about what I like and what I don’t like and even that is a beautiful lesson.”
“I will not judge what I see, rather I will see it with childlike wonder”
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to create art today.”
This is the piece of art that recently emerged with this practice.
I am so grateful to share that this piece was sold the same day!
It is my absolute pleasure and greatest honor to be able to add beauty to the world through my own creations. Thank you all for reading and I can’t wait to see where this practice takes you.
Lovingly,
